System Update: September 30, 2024

Subject: Verizon Network Issue Across Multiple Cities

We are currently monitoring the impact of the reported Verizon outages in multiple cities across the country. Currently, outbound messages from the mobile platform are sending at normal rates to our short-code, 10-DLC, and TF aggregation partners, these are being accepted by the carrier, and they are being delivered to unaffected devices.

DLRs are expected to be delayed to devices impacted by the outage (ex: Verizon mobiles in SOS mode), and handsets in SOS will not be able to text in to a keyword ro reply to a message.

If there are broadcast concerns, Verizon contacts can be excluded from the being sent the message by creating a carrier target list sans Verizon. Or the broadcast can be delayed until Verizon has resolved the matter.

Updates to follow as soon as we have more to share. Please contact support if you have any questions or concerns.

-- UPDATE -- 9/30/2024 4:00pm PT

Verizon users with handsets in SOS earlier today have begun reporting message deliveries to their devices. Upstream partners have not yet published updates on the VZ Network issue today, but it appears that the problem has been resolved for several areas.
