Subject: MMS Delivery Issue on TF# 10-DLC Message Codes

We are currently engaged with our upstream partners to resolve an issue some clients are experiencing with MMS deliveries on Toll-Free and 10-DLC messaging codes, where all messages return a DLR of “delivered to carrier” while reliably engaged contacts and admin teams do not receive the texts. This experience has defined replication and is wholly sporadic in nature. To ensure that time sensitive messages do not encounter this issue, until the matter is resolved we advise using SMS messages with broadcasts on TF#s and 10-DLCs instead of MMS.

We appreciate client preferences for MMS and understand the inconvenience this may cause. Teams are working as quickly as possible to resolve this matter. Updates to follow as more information is received.

Please reach out to our support team if you have any questions or concerns.

-- UPDATE -- 10/29/2024 8:36am PT

Upstream teams reported this morning that this issue is related to attached content and engineers are working to resolve the downloads and reporting.  MMS messages without media content (ex: text only) should be expected to deliver successfully, however, this has not yet been tested with effected messaging codes and texts. There is no ETA on when this work will be completed. And for that reason, we advise erring on the side of caution and sending SMS messages until their work to restore MMS with media is complete.

Updates to follow as soon as we have more information to share.

Please reach out to our support team if you have any questions or concerns.

--  RESOLVED -- 10/30/2024 10:30am PT

Our aggregation partner found the error with their internal coding that was causing these messages to not deliver, and they have remediated the issue. MMS with content sent with TF#s and 10-DLCs is delivering as expected.
